On Thursday, June 6, we welcomed our little friends from the 5th Kalambaka Kindergarten. The children were given a tour of the children’s department, learned how to become a Library member, and were informed about the educational workshops that will take place this summer during the Summer Reading and Creativity Campaign 2024.
Then, the children’s book “Frank and Bert: The one where Bert learns to ride a bike” was read to them. The story gives children an insight into friendship and encouragement while it teaches them that nothing is impossible if we have someone by our side who helps us gain confidence and reminds us to try over and over until we achieve our goal. Then, our little friends had fun playing educational games, related to the environment and recycling, on the interactive whiteboard.
