The Kalambaka Library, continuing its Summer Reading and Creativity Campaign activities, visited Asproklissia and conducted the workshop “If I were a tree…”. Our aim was for the children to learn important information about trees and their value to the environment and to understand that they are living organisms with similar needs and functions to humans!
Our little friends, after revealing their favorite trees to us, observed the various parts of the trees and compared them to parts of their own bodies. Then, we all participated in a role-playing game where we pretended to be trees, highlighting our similarities with them through body movements.
In the end, the children created their own “tree of life,” forming the rings of their “trunk” and recording something significant in each ring.
We sincerely thank the President of the Asproklissia Community, Mr. Vasilis Piniaras, for his hospitality!
