On Tuesday, November 12th, collaborators from the Library visited the village of Xirokambos in the Municipality of Meteora as part of the “Oral History” program. The purpose of the program is to collect personal narratives and photographic material related to local history and folklore, creating a rich repository of testimonies. This collection will serve both the academic community for research purposes and the general public, who may access it on the Library’s website to learn more about local history.
We thank Mr. Georgios Giannoulas, son of Ioannis, for the interview he gave to our collaborators, and Mr. Athanasios Giannakis for his selfless and valuable contribution to the Library’s work.
Those who wish to participate in the program are invited to contact the Library’s service offices at 24320 23041-3.
