The Trikala Police Department and the Kalambaka Library are continuing the successful program “Bringing Distance Closer” for the 2024-2025 school year. With the valuable contribution of the Mobile Police Unit, part of the Library’s collection is transported to primary schools in the mountainous areas of the Meteora Municipality. The goal of the program is to promote reading and develop children’s literacy skills. Engaging with books enhances the expressiveness, vocabulary, concentration, and spontaneous speech of young students.
The involved organizations share the common goal of creating a positive environment for lifelong learning, promoting collective effort, and the power of collaboration as a model for lifelong education.
The schools participating in the program are the Primary Schools of Panagia, Asproklissia, Chrysomilia, Ampelia, Oxynia, and Agiofyllo.
