On Tuesday, September 3rd, the children’s workshop “Cloud Stories” of the Summer Reading and Creativity Campaign 2024 took place for our young readers. The purpose of the workshop was for the children to learn important information about cloud types and to develop their creativity.
First, we observed the sky from the Library’s courtyard and discussed the colors, shapes, and forms that clouds can take—sometimes resembling faces, objects, or even animals! Then, the children had fun playing a Bingo game and a card game, learning about the categories scientists use to classify clouds. This way, they learned about cumulus, stratocumulus, altocumulus, and cirrocumulus clouds! Afterwards, using simple materials, they created their own cloud-hero inspired by beloved book and movie characters, and together they made a large cloud story on a roll of paper for the Library!
On Friday, September 6th, at 12 p.m., the closing celebration of the 2024 Summer Reading and Creativity Campaign will take place.
We look forward to seeing you all there to admire the children’s creations from the workshops held during the campaign!
