Music of the World with the Trikala Youth Symphony Orchestra

On Friday, June 28th, at 8:30 PM, a concert by the Trikala Youth Symphony Orchestra will be held in the courtyard of the Library, celebrating the conclusion of its 10th operational season this year. The program, conducted by Stefanos Sekeroglou, includes works by great composers influenced by musical traditions from around the world. The concert is organized by the Trikala Music Friends Association in collaboration with the Kalabaka Library.

The Trikala Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Trikala Music Friends Association was established in February 2014 by the Trikala Music Friends Association and the Municipality of Trikala. It consists of musicians aged 11 to 24 years and is active in all aspects of music. Among its goals are the development of its members’ musical abilities, the fostering of a spirit of teamwork, the preparation of members for professional careers in orchestral ensembles, and the cultivation and dissemination of orchestral music.

The Trikala Youth Symphony Orchestra has performed concerts both within and outside the Trikala region, collaborating with renowned soloists, musicians, and conductors such as Dimitris Kavrakos, Dimitris Semsis, Vladimir Symeonidis, Leonidas Kavakos, and with organizations like the Athens State Orchestra, the Greek National Opera, and the Athens Music Friends Association.
