Two screenings of the film “Murderess” on Saturday, October 5th at the library

On Saturday, October 5th, there will be two screenings of the film “Murderess”, directed by the acclaimed Greek filmmaker Eva Nathena. The first screening will begin at 7:00 PM, and the second at 8:30 PM. Those interested in attending the screenings should register at the Library’s service desks by calling 24320.23041-3, as the screenings will take place indoors due to worsening weather conditions.

The event will be honored by the presence of the director herself, Eva Nathena, and the film’s producer, Kostas Lambropoulos. They will participate in a discussion with the audience, sharing their experiences from the making of the film and answering questions.

The film is a masterful adaptation of Alexandros Papadiamantis’ classic novel, transporting us to the world of Fragkogiannou, a woman trapped in a harsh social environment. Through her story, the film explores themes of morality, social inequality, and psychological isolation, offering a profound and gripping insight into the human psyche.
