Savvas Kalenderidis was born in Vergi Serron in 1960. In 1977 he entered the Evelpidon Military School, from which he graduated in 1981, as a second lieutenant. He served in various units and attended all the armored and commando schools. He also served for a number of years in critical positions abroad. In March 2000, while studying at the War College, he resigned from the ranks of the Greek Army, with the rank of lieutenant colonel. His resignation was due to his disagreement with the Greek government's handling of the "Ocalan Affair" in January 1999 in Nairobi, Kenya. Savvas Kalenderidis, who accompanied the Kurdish leader during his adventurous journey to Russia, Belarus and Kenya, wrote the book "Ocalan Tradition: The Hour of Truth" giving his historical testimony. The book reached the top of sales, exceeding 15 thousand copies.
Since the fall of 2000 he founded and manages the publishing house "Infognomon" and since 2008 the blog "Infognomon Politika". Since 2011, he has been a regular columnist in the newspaper Dimokratia and Kyriakatiki Dimokratia, while his analyzes and articles, mainly on Turkey and other regional issues, have been published in various newspapers, magazines and websites.

Under the pseudonym Kostas Nikopolidis, he translated from Turkish and edited the edition of the book "Gang State", while he also translated from Turkish the "Susourluk Report". He has written the historical travel guides "East Sea", "West Sea - Bithynia - Paphlagonia" and "Kozani - In the arms of the mountains", and the books "Ocalan Tradition: The Hour of Truth" (2007) and "Crisis and Patriotism" (2016).
In collaboration with the "Friends of the Melpos Merlier Folklore Museum" foundation, he participated and prefaced the publication of the double CD "Songs of the Pontus, Recordings of 1930" and the CD "Songs from the Coastal Cities of the Pontus and Asia Minor".
He translated and edited the edition of the book "Anatomy of the War in Kurdistan", by Murat Karagilan, one of the leaders of the Kurdish National Liberation Movement and deputy leader of Abdullah Ocalan. He also edited the publication of the two-volume work "Analysis of Turkish Foreign Policy: Myth and Reality", the book "Minorities in Turkey" and a series of historical travel guides, such as "Lower Italy - Great Greece", "Sicily", "Rhodes - Marmaris" - Caria - Lycia", "Aeolia: Lesbos - Aivali", "Ionia: Samos - Ephesus - Miletos - Priene", "Chios - Smyrna", "Bulgaria - Eastern Romilia", "Cappadocia - Central Anatolia", "Istanbul - Marmaras ", "Crete", etc.
