The incredible journey of the beloved author's books and the impact they had on the public stimulated the members to want to study her work and exchange views and ideas with the author herself.\r\n\r\nIn 1976 Mrs. Fakinou created the puppet theater <em>Ntenekedoupoli<\/em> [Tin Town], which was a great success and since then she has written and illustrated many children's books. Her first novel, entitled <em>Astradeni,<\/em> affected readers and is considered, if not the best, one of the top novels of the post-colonial era.
