Then, Assistant Professor of Mineralogy and Petrology at the Agricultural University of Athens, Mr. Ioannis Baziotis, attended the Library and spoke about &#8220;The Discovery of Space in the Antarctic Mountains.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: rgb(33, 33, 33); font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; white-space: pre-wrap;\">Mr. Baziotis is one of 8 scientists &#8211; and the first Greek &#8211; chosen in 2017 by NASA for a mission to Antarctica in order to seek, collect and analyze meteorites. <\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: rgb(33, 33, 33); font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; white-space: pre-wrap;\">After presenting his book &#8220;A Greek in Antarctica,&#8221; he showed us some meteorites and discussed with the audience.<\/span><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday, 5 October, we talked via videoconference with Mr. Marko Vaxevanopoulos, curator of the Museum of Geological Formations, who spoke about the creation of Meteora.
