Rousanou of Meteora"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The digital collection of the codices of the Holy Monastery of Rousanou of Meteora is now available online on the page of the online catalog of the Kalambaka Library.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The Library proceeded to digitize the codices in collaboration with the Holy Monastery of Rousanou and the Historical and Paleographic Archive of the Educational Foundation of the National Bank. The project &#8220;Digitization, Management and Cataloging of the collection of manuscripts of the Holy Monastery of Rousanou&#8221; was formalized with a written agreement between the institutions and began in February 2019 with the digitization of the codices by Mr. Agamemnon Tselikas and his Partners.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The collection consists of 39 codes written between the 13th and 19th centuried and they include Liturgical Books, Prayers, Speeches of Ecclesiastical Fathers, Dogmatic Works, etc. The descriptive cataloging of the codices was based on the catalog of Demetris Z. Sofianos, professor at the Ionian University.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The main purpose of the project is to preserve and highlight the cultural wealth of the Holy Monastery and the access of all those interested in the cultural reserve of the Monastery. The project is a useful and valuable tool for the global academic community.
