On Thursday, April 6, the meeting of the members of the Adult \u0392\u03bf\u03bf\u03ba Club took place on the subject of the work of Honore de Balzac, one of the founders of realism in European literature.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Members studied several of the classical author’s works, traveled to the France of his time and learned about customs and manners. They were impressed by the way of writing, which systematically rendered an entire society with characters made up of all social classes, entangled with each other, living their passions and possessed by a “sweet” sadness. The author’s exhaustive descriptions did not tire the readers, on the contrary, they helped them form a complete picture of the French society of the early 19th century.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The next meeting will take place on Thursday, May 4 on the subject of the writer Menios Sakellaropoulos.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
