On Friday, February 2nd, we welcomed the students of the 5th grade of the 33rd Primary School of Trikala to the Library. The students, initially, were given a tour of the Library and learned about the services and programs that are held for young and old. An introduction was then made to library tasks such as cataloging and sorting to learn about how to organize a modern library’s collection.
Then, they learned to use the Library’s electronic catalog (opac.gr), to be able to search and locate the material available in various information sources. Finally, they played educational games on the interactive whiteboard, specially designed for primary school students.
