An informative seminar organized by the EPAL of Kalampaka and the Europe Direct network was successfully held today, as part of the “European Parliament Ambassador School” (EPAS) program.
The event focused on fundamental European values, equality, and the protection of human rights.
Representing the Library, it was emphasized that the role of a modern library extends far beyond lending books. It constitutes a living organism that ensures equal access to information and technology, breaking down social and economic barriers. Through our collaboration with the students of EPAL, the Library becomes a natural space where young people can research, debate, and develop critical thinking against modern challenges, such as disinformation.
The connection between the EPAS program and the Library empowers students’ voices, providing them with the tools to become active European citizens. During the presentation, joint initiatives were highlighted that translate the theory of human rights into daily practice, strengthening the sense of solidarity and respect for diversity.
“Open Doors, Open Minds” – Under this motto, the Kalampaka Library remains committed to supporting the educational community by offering a safe and innovative space for the creation of a fair and inclusive society.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the educators of EPAL Kalampaka for their honorable invitation to participate in this seminar.
