The Educational, Literary, and Cultural Non-Profit Organization of Kalambaka (KDK) is seeking a Junior Librarian to strengthen its team. This new position is part of our strategy to expand and improve the services we offer.
The mission of KDK is to provide traditional and electronic services with informational, educational, cultural, and recreational content aimed at enhancing the social, cultural, and economic life of Kalambaka’s residents. The Library aspires to become a Beacon of Knowledge, offering Education, Access, and Opportunities to all.
The successful candidate will report to the Library Director and must be able to effectively manage internal and external operations, tasks, and challenges, taking on various roles related to administration, development, education, and support.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Library Science
- Postgraduate degree desired (Library Science or Information Technology)
- At least 1 year of experience in a library
- Excellent knowledge of various library management applications
- Experience in managing and archiving digital content
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and English (knowledge of additional languages is a plus)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Website Content Management, and Social Media
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness for continuous education, skill development, and contributing to a learning-focused environment
