As part of the cycle of scientific events co-organized by the Library and the Association of Greek Librarians and Information Scientists, the online talk on “Artificial Intelligence meets the world of archives” took place on Thursday, February 19.
Professor Alexandra Kavvadia highlighted the role of Artificial Intelligence in file management, presenting modern applications, such as document recognition and classification, transcription of handwritten material and transcription of audiovisual documents.
Particular emphasis was placed on issues of personal data protection, algorithm bias and the importance of human oversight in the use of new technologies.
