Upcoming Visit: 5th Junior High School of Trikala at the Library

On Friday, April 3rd, at 11:00 AM, the Library will welcome 60 students from the 1st Grade of the 5th Junior High School of Trikala for a multifaceted educational experience that bridges tradition with cutting-edge technology.

The visit’s program includes:

  • Guided Tour: Students will explore the Library’s collections, reading rooms, and services, discovering how a traditional institution of knowledge evolves in the digital age.

  • Drone Demonstration: An introduction to the world of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), their capabilities, and their diverse applications in science and daily life.

  • Celestial Observation or 3D Technology:

    • Weather permitting: Students will have the unique opportunity to observe the sun or the sky through a telescope.

    • In case of cloudy weather: The focus will shift to the digital fabrication lab for a live demonstration of 3D Scanning and 3D Printing, where students will see how objects are digitized and reproduced using a 3D printer.

The aim of this initiative is to engage teenagers with modern technological tools, fostering critical thinking and creative imagination.
