Manga and Comics Book Club for Teens & Young People

A new creative workshop–reading club opens its doors to teens and young adults who love manga and comics. Manga are Japanese illustrated narratives, extremely popular worldwide, combining dynamic visuals, strong storytelling, and a wide range of themes—from fantasy and action to social and existential stories.

With monthly meetings, participants will jointly select well-known and beloved manga series, as well as selected comics, which we will read, analyze, and discuss together. Each session includes discussion about the creator, the plot, the characters, and the artistic style, while also introducing basic principles of writing and storytelling in comics.

Through observation, creative exercises, drawing, and visual activities inspired by the series we are reading, participants will experiment with their own imagination and self-expression. At the end of the cycle, the club aims to culminate in the creation of an original comic—individual or collaborative—created by the participants themselves.
