The chess association, Skakistiki Kinisi, in Trikala organizes chess classes for children and teenagers in the Library. Chess is an activity with millions of friends around the world and offers many benefits for all ages; it has been scientifically proven to help, especially, young children in many areas. Specifically:

  • It benefits the players to take rational decisions.

 Furthermore, it has been shown that chess reduces the risk of dementia, the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, and the risk of depression and anxiety.
