The first session of the 3D Scanning & Printing Workshop was successfully held on Thursday, June 18, organized by the Library in collaboration with the School of Advanced Vocational Training of Trikala – Kalambaka Woodcarving School.
The workshop aims to highlight the region’s folk and ecclesiastical woodcarving heritage through the use of modern digital technologies, including 3D scanning and 3D printing.
During the first session, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of 3D scanning, gaining an understanding of the process of digitally capturing physical objects.
In the upcoming sessions, participants will explore the processing of digital 3D models and the principles of 3D printing, acquiring valuable knowledge and practical skills that connect traditional craftsmanship with the possibilities offered by modern technology.
