Educational activity with the students of the 6th Grade of the 1st Primary School of Kalambaka

On Wednesday, April 10th, we welcomed the students of the 6th Grade of the 1st Primary School of Kalambaka to the Library with the aim of experiencing 3D printing technology up close.

The students had already completed two visits: during the first visit, they learned to use the 3D scanner and scanned an object. During the second meeting, they processed the digital files of the scans they had made using appropriate software and created the final 3D model. During their third and final visit, the students had the opportunity to witness the process of printing the digital model on the Library’s 3D printer. This method involves additive manufacturing, where objects are created through the successive addition of parallel layers of material.

The 1st Primary School of Kalambaka is the first school to complete the cycle of the 3D scanning and printing educational activity, and we thank them very much for their collaboration.

We invite other schools, both primary and secondary education, to participate in this educational activity.
