On Monday, March 11th, we welcomed students from the 2nd Grade of the 2nd Gymnasium of Trikala to our library as part of an educational field trip they conducted in our city.
Initially, the students were guided through the library’s premises and were informed about its collection and operation. Then, an introduction was given regarding the advantages and disadvantages of 3D scanning and printing, the types of objects that can be scanned, printing materials, and types of 3D printers. Subsequently, the students used the 3D scanner available at the library to become familiar with the process of scanning an object, observed the digital file processing, and experienced the possibility of printing on the library’s 3D printer.
The students expressed their interest in new technologies and their excitement at being able to use them.
We thank the 2nd Gymnasium of Trikala for the visit.
