On Wednesday, February 7 we welcomed to the Library the Grade E΄ students of 5th Kalambaka Elementary School to learn about the educational programs. The young readers were given a Library tour, became familiar with the children’s and young adults’ collection, they learned about basic library functions, such as classification and subject indexing, and they became acquainted with the Dewey Decimal Classification System and the material search on the Library’s electronic catalogue (opac.gr).
Then, on the interactive board they were engaged in educational programs specially designed for Grade E students, solving exercises in a playful way and revising school subjects.
Finally, the students borrowed children’s fiction books to promote the love of read.
