On Monday, May 20th, we welcomed the first and third-grade students of the 10th Primary School of Trikala to the Library. The children toured the children’s section and were informed about the services and educational programs. They got to know the collection, learned how someone can become a member of the Library, and discussed the multiple benefits of reading literature. Then, the first-grade students received an introduction to the world of robotics with the mTiny educational package, which introduces children to programming in a playful way, while the third-grade students solved exercises on the interactive board, specifically designed for Primary Education.
Afterwards, the students explored the Museum Kits of Cycladic Culture and ancient Greek ceramics from the Museum of Cycladic Art and examined replicas of exhibits from the museum’s permanent collections contained in the kits.
