Visit of the 7th Experimental Junior High School of Trikala to the Library

On Thursday, October 17th, we had the pleasure of welcoming the students of the 7th Experimental Junior High School of Trikala. They toured all three levels of the Library and were informed about its operations, the children’s/teen collection, the information department, and the special collections.

The students then had the opportunity to observe plant tissues using the Library’s microscope, gaining a hands-on understanding of what they learn in biology class. Following that, they explored Cycladic Culture and Ancient Pottery through educational kits from the Museum of Cycladic Art and were thrilled with the museum’s accurate replicas.

Finally, the students focused on the Comics collection, both in Greek and other languages. They were particularly fascinated by Manga, the Japanese comics, which are read from top to bottom and right to left—exactly the opposite of how books are read elsewhere in the world.

We thank the 7th Experimental Junior High School of Trikala for their visit and collaboration. We look forward to welcoming them again soon!
