Visit of the 7th Experimental High School of Trikala to the Library

On Friday, February 7th, we welcomed the students of the 7th Experimental High School of Trikala with the aim of informing them about the educational programs offered at the Library. The students were guided through the children’s/teenagers’ section and the adult section, where they learned about the membership process and the library regulations. They were then briefed on basic library tasks such as classification and cataloging, and familiarized with the Dewey Decimal Classification System. They conducted searches in the library’s electronic catalog (opac.gr), thus becoming acquainted with the library’s collection and material organization.

Subsequently, they were informed about the advanced technology of 3D scanning and printing available at the Library and its applications in all scientific fields. They also saw examples of printed 3D models. Additionally, they engaged with the educational package BricQ Motion Prime, gaining an introduction to the world of robotics and STEM methodology in education.

We thank the 7th Experimental High School of Trikala for their visit.
