Successful Speech and Open Dialogue with Professor Ioannis Ioannidis at the Library

In an atmosphere of intense interest and with large public attendance, the event featuring the distinguished Professor of Stanford University, Dr. Ioannis Ioannidis, took place at the Library.

Dr. Ioannidis took the attendees on a journey through his literary world, personally reading representative excerpts from his literary and poetic work. Immediately after, the event evolved into an interactive, multi-themed dialogue, where the audience had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss a wide range of issues with him.

During the Q&A session, the Professor analyzed current trends in the field of meta-research, focusing on the reliability, methodology, and transparency of scientific publications, while also briefly mentioning the issue of support and funding for research work. The discussion expanded to the challenges of general medicine and public health, the deeper relationship between literature and science, as well as his personal journey and the sources of inspiration that shape his overall work.
