Library is moving forward with an important initiative, declaring the year 2026 as the “Year of Artificial Intelligence (AI),” highlighting one of the most influential fields of our time.

This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Association of Greek Librarians and Information Scientists (EEBEP), aiming to inform, educate, and actively engage the public. It aspires to create an open space for the exchange of knowledge and ideas related to technology, innovation, and humanity.

The official opening will take place on January 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., with the presence and address of the Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. Dimitris Papastergiou, who will officially inaugurate the “Year of Artificial Intelligence.”

Throughout 2026, the Library will host a series of events, seminars, and online activities exploring various aspects of Artificial Intelligence—from its practical applications in daily life to its impact on education, culture, and society.

More information about the program of activities will be announced in the near future.
