On Monday, June 17, the opening celebration of the Summer Reading and Creativity Campaign 2024, organized by the National Library of Greece, took place with the theme “From Earth to Sky: Learn, Think, Live…”.
Children flipped through knowledge books, learned about elements of nature, gathered information about organisms living underground, tried to imagine what it’s like to fly high in the sky among the clouds, and explored distant places. They categorized the knowledge they acquired on a large sheet of paper and recorded their own questions about everything happening around them. At the end of the workshop, all the children received a Knowledge Notebook, in which they will note their impressions and the titles of the books they borrowed after each workshop.
The next workshop of the Summer Reading and Creativity Campaign 2024 will take place on Friday, June 28, at 12 p.m.
