The webinar ‘Artificial Intelligence and Embryo Selection in Assisted Reproduction’ has been completed

The webinar titled “Artificial Intelligence and Embryo Selection in Assisted Reproduction – Scientific Data and Ethics” took place on Thursday, March 5, as part of the “Year of Artificial Intelligence – 2026” program. This initiative is co-organized by the Kalambaka Library and the Association of Greek Librarians and Information Scientists.

Ms. Maria Kanellopoulou-Boti, lawyer and professor at the Ionian University, presented modern applications of AI in selecting embryos for implantation, along with international research data regarding IVF success rates using specialized algorithmic tools.

Particular emphasis was placed on both the potential and the limitations of algorithmic methods, as well as the significant ethical and legal issues arising from the use of AI in assisted reproduction.

The presentation is available on the Library’s official YouTube channel: Artificial Intelligence and Embryo Selection in Assisted Reproduction – Live Stream.
