The 3D Scanning & Printing workshop, organized by the Kalambaka Library in collaboration with SAEK Trikala – Woodcarving School of Kalampaka, was successfully held on Tuesday, June 23rd.

This educational initiative aims to highlight and preserve the region’s folk and ecclesiastical woodcarving heritage through the utilization of modern digital technologies, such as 3D scanning and 3D printing.

Today, participants had the opportunity to delve into the 3D scanning process and familiarize themselves with the equipment and techniques used for digitizing wood-carved objects.

The workshops will take place at the Library every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:00 p.m. until July 16th, and are open to teenagers aged 14 to 17.
