On Thursday, February 15th, the annual meeting of the Library Advisory Committee took place. The President of KDK, Mrs. Katerina Dimoula Merriam, and the Vice President, Mr. Apostolos Iliopoulos, delivered a brief welcome address and welcomed the new member of the committee, Mr. Nikolaos Trimindzio, retired naval officer.
The Committee also includes the Deputy Mayor for Culture, Mrs. Lila Banteka, the police officer Mrs. Niki Kofa, the French teacher Mrs. Julia Samara, and the computer science professors Mr. Grigoris Derekaris and Mr. Christos Karakitsios.
Initially, a concise presentation of statistical data was given regarding the library’s programs and activities during the past year, as well as its strategic objectives for the current year. This was followed by an open dialogue with the committee members regarding new innovative programs, the challenges facing the library, and the development of new collaborations with external organizations.
