On Sunday, April 7th, the speech by psychologist Sophia Andreopoulou on the topic of “explosive” adolescence took place at the Library.
Based on her new book titled “Adolescence, the big explosion and how to survive as parents,” Ms. Andreopoulou analyzed the behaviors and thoughts of adolescents, as well as the changes that parents need to make in their attitude and behavior towards them. She pointed out that many times teenagers sink into confusion and violence, they do not express their feelings, or they have not found a way to do so, and parents, instead of understanding them, constantly complain and argue. She emphasized the importance of parents accepting teenagers, daily efforts to improve their relationships, adherence to rules, mainly by parents, in order to earn the respect of their children, and the patience needed from both sides to create a happier life for the whole family!
We thank Ms. Andreopoulou for accepting our invitation, Dioptra Publications for the collaboration, and Tsiopelakos Bookstore from Trikala.
