The children’s workshop “Action Now!” took place

On Tuesday, July 2nd, the workshop “Action Now!” was held for the young readers of the Library. The purpose of the workshop was for the children to reflect on the issue of climate change, to express their thoughts, and to formulate arguments for the protection of the planet.

Initially, the children discussed the rise in temperatures, the melting of the ice caps, recycling, water shortages, weather conditions, and the tragic consequences for people. Then, they split into groups and played the role-playing game “I take the first step.” One group did not believe that the planet could still be saved, while the other group tried to convince them that no effort is wasted. The children expressed their views, concerns, and ideas about the environment. In the end, all the children wrote or drew the actions each of us can take to slow down climate change.

The next workshop will be held on Thursday, July 4th, at 12:00 p.m.
