The children’s workshop “If I Were a Tree” took place

On Wednesday, July 10, the children’s workshop “If I Were a Tree” of CE 2024 took place, aiming to teach children important information about trees and their value to the environment.

Initially, we discussed with the young students the different types of trees and which one is their favorite. Then, they tried to imagine themselves as trees! They envisioned what their branches and trunks would look like and how significant they would be for the creatures living near them. Afterwards, they enjoyed playing a role-playing game where they acted as trees to discover similarities with humans and how they interact with their surrounding environment.

At the end, the children created their own tree of life, forming the rings of “their trunk,” recording an important memory from each year of their lives in each ring.

The next activity will take place on Friday, July 12, at 12:00 p.m.
