On Thursday, March 21st, the meeting of the Adult Book Club took place. The theme of the meeting was the work of the author Rea Galanaki, who was recently awarded the Grand Prize of Literature.
Members read and analyzed works by Mrs. Galanaki, such as “Extreme Humiliation,” “Eleni or Noone,” “The Century of Labyrinths,” “The Life of Ismael Ferik Pasha,” and others. All members were captivated by the poetic writing of the author and the literary rendition of the stories. They discussed the intense emotions provoked by the reading and the element of dreams present in all the works, functioning as a tool for understanding and decoding the mental state, thoughts, and actions of the characters.
The next meeting will take place on Thursday, April 11th.
