With undiminished interest, the 3D Scanning & Printing workshop took place on Thursday, June 25th. The workshop is organized by the Library in collaboration with the Vocational Training Institute (SAEK) of Trikala – Woodcarving School of Kalabaka.
This educational initiative aims to highlight and preserve the local folk and ecclesiastical woodcarving heritage by utilizing modern digital technologies, such as 3D scanning and 3D printing.
During today’s session, participants familiarized themselves with managing and processing the digital models generated from the 3D scanning process, gaining valuable insights into the stages that follow the creation of an object’s initial digital footprint.
The workshops will be held at the Library every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:00 p.m. until July 16th, and are geared toward teens aged 14 to 17.
