Kalambaka Library, in collaboration with the Municipality of Meteora and under the auspices of the Region of Thessaly – Regional Unit of Trikala, is honored to host the Annual Conference of the Association of Greek Librarians and Information Scientists (EEBEP), under the theme:
“The Democracy of Knowledge and the Dangers of Misinformation.”
The event will take place on June 11, 12, and 13, 2025, at the premises of the Library and the Divani Meteora Hotel in Kalambaka.
In an era where information overload and the spread of misleading news pose new challenges for the public sphere, this year’s conference highlights the vital role of libraries as guarantors of reliable information and as defenders of free and equal access to knowledge.
Through a rich program of sessions, presentations, and thematic workshops, distinguished scientists and professionals from the fields of information science, librarianship, and education will explore current challenges and present best practices for strengthening information literacy and critical thinking.
