Can we see the wind? Feel it? How much can the wind really bring? The answers to these questions, and many others, were given at the workshop of the Summer Campaign for Reading and Creativity “Whatever the Wind Brings!” which took place on Tuesday, July 9th. The purpose of the workshop was for children to learn about the functions and types of wind.
Through activities that included movement, the children learned about the Beaufort scale, the different names of the wind, such as tornado, sirocco, monsoon, and expressed thoughts on how and where we use it, such as in windmills, ships, airplanes, and wind turbines. Afterwards, using simple materials, our young friends constructed and decorated a wind chime to create movement and music using the power of the wind!
The next event will take place on Wednesday, July 10th, at 12:00 p.m.
