On the afternoon of Tuesday, July 4, the children’s workshop “Do you want to become friends?” was held in the village of Agiofyllo as part of the Summer Reading and Creativity Campaign organized by the National Library.
The topic of the workshop was the friendship that develops between children at a tender age and lasts until old age, such as the bond that developed between Alki Zei and Georges Sari. Initially, excerpts from books by the two favorite authors were read and reference was made to their life and work. Afterwards, the children talked about themselves and their “close” friends and played a game of BINGO, through which they discovered common interests with other children and made new friends. We also talked about ‘nicknames’ and the children had fun trying to figure out who was behind each ‘nickname’. Finally, we all made friendship bracelets with the name of our dearest friend!
