On Thursday, August 24, the children’s workshop “Do you want to become friends?” of the Summer Reading and Creativity Campaign organized by the Network of Greek Libraries of the National Library, was held in Theopetra . The topic of the workshop was the friendship that develops in children at a tender age and lasts until old age.
Initially, excerpts were read from the books “When the sun” by George Sari and “With pencil faber number 2” by Alki Zei, making reference to the life and work of the two favorite authors. The children then talked about themselves and their ‘best’ friends and played a game of BINGO, through which they discovered common interests with other children and made new friends. Then we talked about ‘nicknames’, with the children having fun trying to find out who was behind each ‘nickname’. Finally, we all made friendship bracelets with the name of our dearest friend!
Many thanks to the Theopetra Cultural Association for the invitation and hospitality and to all children who participated in the workshop.
