The Kalambaka Library will participate in the Summer Campaign organized by the National Library of Greece for the year 2019, entitled “Imagine.”
Imagine … If you could hear the voice of flowers or stars … If you could travel to Mars and see how one day people will be able to live there! Imagine a Library turning into a school of magic and heroes popping off the pages. Or even the Library to become grounds for a treasure hunt or a time machine! Imagine your dreams becoming a story that you will create and be the protagonist in! Experience all this and much more by participating in the 2019 Summer Reading and Creativity Campaign. A series of experiential activities in the special environment of their local library, which aims to develop and liberate the imagination and the creativity of children, through their contact with poetry, literature, narration, theater, music, mathematics, etc.
The Summer Campaign runs from July 1 to September 7 and is a collaboration between the National Library of Greece, the Hellenic Library Network and the Foundation of Catherine Laskaridis. The workshops were created by prominent writers, scientists, educators, animators and artists. They are aimed at children aged 4 to 14, who will discover the beauty of reading in a light, poetic manner that will spark and cultivate their senses, imagination and emotional world.
