On the afternoon of Tuesday, August 6th, the Kalambaka Library visited village Theopetra as part of its 2019 Summer Reading and Creativity Campaign in order to carry out “Little Awakenings.”
The children were gathered in the courtyard of Theopetra School, and after meeting and greeting one another, we talked about the life cycle through everyday life. “Little Awakenings” are cycles of images about sleep and waking, a cycle of moments just like the cycle of life.
Then we invited the children to create their own “awakenings” – to invent, imitate and create images through simple activities.
What does the sun do when it wakes up? or what does the ant do when it wakes up? the children freed their imagination and their creativity and depicted their own ideas on paper.
We thank the President of Theopetra, Mr. Gatsios Efthimios, and the President of the Theopetra Cultural Association, Mr. Papakostas Dimitrios for the warm hospitality.
