On Friday, December 2, a second 3D scanning and printing workshop was held with the students of the 2nd High School of Kalambaka. In the first meeting the students experimented with the 3D scanner and editing a digital model, while today they saw how to print the final file on the 3D printer. The model used in the lab was a periodic table of the chemical elements with all the elements embossed so they could color it. The students were impressed by the advanced technology and the ability to create objects through multiple layers of material, typically much smaller than one millimeter.
The three-dimensional periodic table was donated to the students.
