On the afternoon of Tuesday 3/12/2019, Admiral Kosmas Christidis, Honorable M / A General’s Speech on Leadership was delivered.
Mr. Christidis developed the concept of leadership through the Aristotelian theory and highlighted the role and behavior of the leader in modern society. He also emphasized the essential virtues of a leader such as bravery, the pursuit of truth, morality, and most of all, wisdom. According to Aristotle, wisdom is the supreme virtue, which holds all other virtues in balance.
Mr. Christidis emphasized the importance studying the great philosophers, Plato and Aristotle, for the sake of new generations’ progressing and the development of critical thinking.
