On Thursday, March 16, the meeting of the Adult Book Club took place on the theme of the work of the writer Nikos Kazantzakis. The members were impressed by the author’s juicy and inventive writing, which like no other transcended the borders of his homeland, his rich descriptions and his existential and metaphysical quests.
His philosophical ideas, which torment the characters of his works, troubled the members, provoking discussion about religiosity, life, human nature, leveling of values, today and tomorrow.
The next meeting of the members will take place on Thursday, April 6 on the subject of the work of the French writer, Honoré de Balzac, founder of European realism.
