Today, Wednesday, February 3, the 5th Grade of the 4th Kalambaka Primary School visited the Library and held the language lesson and specifically the “Books and Libraries“ section.
The program of the visit included the following:
Membership card
Library‘s regulations
Material classification
Training in the Library‘s electronic catalogue (opac)
Part of the training was a game entitled: Search 16 titles in the catalog and then on the shelf.
The children, after filling out a “Book Classification Sheet“ based on the data they drew from the electronic catalog that was being displayed, went in pairs and looked for the books on the shelves based on their classification number. In this interactive way, the children saw in practice how the search for books in the catalog is done and how we find the books on the shelves according to their usher symbol.
