On Tuesday, the Library hosted two very rebellious cats, Spaggos and Tela, who left their artistic bookbindery for a day and visited us all the way from the distant “land” of Thessaloniki. These two cats gave us a tour in the world of book-binding with humor, good-heartedness and teasing. Having brought with them special kits that each included all the equipment necessary for the workshop, they showed the children how to construct a book of their own from scratch, only with the help of some basic materials like glue and cardboard.
The children became acquainted with an art they met for the first time, and came to know all about how to create a book and how they could, by themselves, repair it in case of damage. They laughed, had fun, and created in two seminar cycles that we can only hope will be repeated in the future.
