The Kalambaka Library in collaboration with the Municipality of Meteora starts the program “Book Delivery to Distanced Villages, too .”
Within the framework of this program, the residents of the villages of the peripheral unit of the Municipality of Meteora are given the opportunity to choose up to three titles and to have them delivered them at the front door of their house, the staff as well as the recipients (mask, gloves, placing the book in a bag). Those residents who are not registered members of the Library can contact us and giving us the necessary identification data a membership card will be issued, which will be sent along with the books.
The books will be collected by the Library and will be transported to the villages by vehicle and driver of the Municipality of Meteora. They will then be received by the Presidents of the Cultural Associations of the respective Local Communities and will be distributed to each reader. The same procedure is followed for residents of the city of Kalambaka who are unable to leave their homes.
The Municipality of Meteora, through the above action, stands once again on the side of its citizens, in order to contribute in the best possible way to their entertainment in the difficult hours of isolation and quarantine loneliness.
Those interested should search and select the books they want (author name, title or with a complex search criteria) through the Library catalog from the available ones and contact by phone to book the book they have chosen and the time always in consultation with the Librarians.

Monday and Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. – 20:00 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday: 12:00 p.m. – 20:00 p.m.
