Every year on April 2, day of birth of Hans Christian Andersen, we celebrate the Children’s Book National Day. It was established 52 years ago to bring attention to children’s books and strengthen children’s literature.

The Library celebrated this day by informing the children of its importance and reading aloud “The Ugly Duckling.”
